Setting Intentions
March 2023 Slice of Life challenge
I have several loves but high on my list is yoga. I am lucky that I can incorporate it into my life several days a week. I not only enhance my own practice with 2 or 3 classes that I take each week but I get to teach a weekly class to my colleagues. At the end of a long day of work I may feel spent, tapped out from teaching children but I am somehow able to draw positive energy from my fellow school teachers who I give the gift of yoga. It’s amazing how teaching yoga can give so much back to me. I believe it’s because yoga sparks good intensions both physically and mentally and just being in the same room sharing that with others fills my cup. And my hope it that I fill the buckets of those who take my class.

I love yoga too! I practice at home and am very grateful for several excellent YouTube channels with great free practices. I started a 30 day challenge back on Dec 27 and still haven't missed a day! I always feel soooo much better when I practice yoga every day. What a gift to be able to teach a class every week and to practice with your colleagues!

Great post. I miss yoga. It's one of the things I haven't gotten back after having a baby. You remind me of why it's important, particularly the alignment of spiritual, mental, emotional and physical sectors of my body.

What a gift to your colleagues! I have not been super successful, but maybe I should stick with it longer.

Your colleagues are so lucky to have you to teach yoga! I wish we would have yoga available to us! I love yoga! I was going regularly, but the times changed and not as convenient. Miss it a lot!! I hope I can back into to it again!

You are the best instructor! As long as you keep teaching I will keep attending. Thanks for offering this to us.

We had a lockdown last year. It turned out to be a false alarm, but we didn't know that at the time. Staff and students were hunkered down for 3-4 hours, It was awful. One of the great things our school district did afterwards was to send a yoga instructor to our school. So many people took part and it was truly restorative.

I love how you are giving back with something that you love so much. Yoga is so empowering and has been a mind-shifter for me in the past. I got my mat out just the other day and hope to be more consistent in the busy spring months to find balance.
