March 2023 Slice of Life challenge
Rabbit, rabbit! Does anyone else think if the first thing you say on the first of the month is "Rabbit, rabbit!" then you will have good luck all month long? I know that I learned this from an old college boyfriend and it has stuck with me ever since. There are definitely months where it slips my mind and I am curing myself for forgetting to say it.
I can't believe it's been a year since the last Slice of Life event. Needless to say, but so much changed from the beginning of March 2020 through to its bitter end. Honestly, at that point in time, I was grateful for the routine of the Slice. I was thankful for something, anything really to do each day that grounded me. March always starts on day one with my daughter's birthday. Happy birthday to my youngest and happy day of birth to me. I wonder what changes will happen in March of 2021. Will it be as dramatic as last year? I really hope not. Again I find myself worried about what I will write about each day. Will I have anything to say and will it be worthy to write down for whoever is on the internet to read? Stay tuned. I am sure each day will bring new thoughts some worthy and some not.

I have never heard of the "rabbit, rabbit" saying. Is there an explanation of why that should be said for good luck at the start of the month? Just a play off of a lucky rabbit's foot?

Hope your girl has a great birthday! I love that you honor the fact that it's the day of you becoming a mom as well. Double celebration!
