Setting Intentions
March 2023 Slice of Life challenge
Every morning, one of the first things I do after hopping out of bed is open up my curtains and pull up my darkening shade. I let the light hit my face and then I look out the window and assess. A few weeks ago I would look out each day to check on how much more snow had fallen. And it seemed like it snowed and snowed and snowed. More recently I have been looking out the window to see how much the dirty snow plies have melted and reduced in size. I very much dislike dirty snow and I do not find it very pleasant to look at.
I am hoping that today will be the day that I wake up, pull up my shade, let the bright sun shine on my face, look out the window and there will be no more dirty snow piles to look upon. I want them to replaced by the numerous spring bulbs that my husband so strategically planted around the yard. I want to see the grass to turn from brown to green and the trees to show me their spring time buds. Goodbye winter. Welcome Spring.

The newness that spring brings is one of my favorite feelings. The sounds, the smells, the sights are all something I anxiously await each year.

Yes, yes, and yes! My street actually felt wider as I drove down it this morning because the snow piles were almost gone. You captured the anticipation perfectly!
